Mingle² - Online Dating

So my blog is rated "G?" Heh... in the immortal words of Bugs Bunny, '"They don't know me too well, do they?"

In other news, I'm playing a game I've been waiting a long time for, in addition to CoX. I heard about it last month, but the type of game is one I've wanted since Dungeon Keeper. The name of the game is Overlord. One of my roomates called it a combination of Fable and Dungeon Keeper. Considering the disappointment of Evil Genius, Overlord is a whole lot of fun and at this point there promises to be a heck of a lot of stuff to still be unlocked and accessed.

Job situation is still... well, nonexistent. I'vee never gotten this dramatic a lack of response from anyone I applied to since, well... actually, this is par for the course. The last time a company bothered to call me to tell me they weren't going to hire me was back in 1998 or '99. I'm thinking I really need to talk to a career counselor of some kind at this point. (Which everyone keeps telling me I don't need and that I shouldn't bother paying, but if with all this searching I am getting no nibbles, I'm guessing that either I'm unemployable (unlikely, at least in the broad picture) or there's something wrong with my resume and/or presentation.

I like the look of the game (though not half as much as my Dungeon Keeper and Evil Genius fanatic flatmate) though they have already managed to annoy me by setting things up so I have to subscribe to some kind of online service they have so I may have the privilege of downloading their advertising to look at it, because, you know, we can't have just anyone looking at our adverts, that would be horrible!

This is more a general grump at how much of the net is requiring that I sign up to look at it these days. Feh.


Anyway, good luck on the job-hunt, and the career counselor may be worth looking into if you're really having trouble.
