Arrival Update
Jan. 31st, 2007 08:51 amOkau, figured it was time to give a bit more of an update.
We arrived in Carson City without any problem Monday night. However, Monday morning I had developed some sort of eye problem: there was an intense and groping pain in my eye. yesterday I went to the eye doctor. To make a long diagnosis short and to spare you opthalmic TMI ugliness, my eye gets dry very very easily, to the point where even in not-so-dry locations it can get very painful, especially when blinking. There's an eye ointment I will be taking, basically, forever, but fortunately my eyesight won't be more messed up because of this, and the pain should subside in a few days. It seems to be working, I'm not in nearly so much pain this morning as I was the past couple of days.
What this means for online gaming is this: I will not be able to play anything for another day or so, maybe, while this ointment starts to work. This unfortunately includes Hunter and Whole of the Law/Burning Man, as well as EVE.
I could go on about how I' wish the eye doctor in New York would have told me tht this condition was chronic/genetic, or had even said I needed this Muro ointmen, but I won't. I could fill a lot of pages about that. As it is, i'm glad that my eye is getting back into shape and that I'll know what to do for the future.
I'll be working on a more complete evaluation of the trip soon, I promise. For now it's a bit of an effort to write even this much. Pax.
