Connection Update
Sep. 26th, 2006 09:12 amSince I had a couple people ask what's happening, figured I'd post here since it gets word out more efficiently and this is as good as any other way.
For the most part I've been happy with Verizon DSL. As I noted, last week my phone went out. My phone line was mostly repaired by Friday. My DSL wasn't. I was told on Thursday that it would be up within 24-48 hours. I was told Friday that this was wrong and they would get a technician out Monday. I was told last night that the technician had found nothing wrong on the house side of things and that it had been remanded to the Central Office for fixing, oh, and by the way, I might be too far from the CO for DSL. Despite having had it for over a month.
Yeah, that was about my reaction.
Anyway, I will be hassling Verizon again about getting me some sort of net access today so I can at least get my e-mail while at home. As much as I thought Time-Warner had poor service, this isn't exactly much better.
