Doctor Who

I've been watching a few episodes of the new Dr. Who. For those who haven't seen it, I'll avoid giving away spoilers, but I'll say this much: After seeing the episode "Dalek" it's now abundantly clear why the Daleks were considered intergalactic and temporal badasses.

This is a fine series, I'm really enjoying it!

... Well, I'm only commenting on how they show how Daleks got around stairs in the new series. Not implying anyone is a 'stupid brainless idiot.' =6

Beholders In Spaaaaace

I decided a while back that Darleks are the Beholders of Dr Who, and visa versa.

Both of them are funny looking things, that seem really like somebody was smoking crack on first sight, but in reality are horrifically dangerous, one of them can take on entire armies by itself, they are basically flying gun-turrets, and both of them are insanely xenophobic, and want to wipe out any other race, a passion only beaten by how badly they want to trash any non-pure members of their own nominal species.

Oh, and fighting either of them is a real problem. (gives his currently D&D GM a nasty look).
