Long Day's Night

caraigIt was a long day. Got in to work at about 10:30 AM and got out approximately 11 hours later. I'm opening tomorrow which means being at work at 9AM, though fortunately I won't be there for 11 hours again.
I got out of work this evening and the air had that hint of precipitation, the suggestive kiss of rain which promises but never quite touches, mixed in with a cool breeze which was just starting to take on the warm raiment of spring. It is so very easy to be lost in the scent, humidity, temperature, pressure of the air at any given moment; it's like a multipartite key to a single lock of memory. Who can tell what that memory unlocked is, until a correspondence of sensation brings it forward?
Gas has apparently hit an all-time high of $3.25 for premium. Holy shaznak! Where's the rioting in the streets?
Today Jon made his 'Resist FFXI' roll by a decent but still narrow margin. With the new expansion which came out, there are all sorts of interesting things to check out. Plus new jobs. While the idea of Tamrith as a Redmage/Corsair fills me with even more squeeish glee than even RDM/NIN could, I just have to remind myself with the one-word mantra 'GRIND!' and it puts me off right away. (Besides, Tamrith has been long since deleted. And I am NOT going to spend ANOTHER year working to get her back up to RDM68 and then the final torturous grind to 75. Not unless they didn't delete Tam-tam and made that last final grind a hell of a lot easier.)
Not much else going on. As I said, I'm off to work again in the morning so I think I'll be making it an early night shortly. I hope everyone out there is doing well. Pax.
