"It'll Be A Good Day...."

caraigWoke up this morning, yawning (odd dreams, as usual of late.) Got ready for work, got my coat on, stepped outside....
...It's beautiful out.
Warm air, just enough cloud cover to shield us from the harshly bright sun, a subtle breeze which did not chill. I'm driving to work with the window open, with the player belting out Hamasaki Ayumi's Evolution and Khan's Edge of Soul and life just can't get much better. But it does! I park at the mall, and step out of the car, taking deep breaths of air that doesn't freeze the throat going down. Clouds hover around the edges of the horizon, like a melanese tiger prowling and in the dark forest shadows, growling softly with the threat of rain at some point. The air, the sky, life, is good.
So of course I then spend the next nine frickin' hours indoors in a mall. Sigh. But, still, the trip out and the trip home were great, the weather is heartbreakingly wonderful. I'm not normally one to like easy weather -- I actually prefer my weather with a bit of precipitation, if it rained or snowed three days out of four I'd be happy -- but this was weather to bring a tear to the eye. It was just simply wonderful.
Now home, and resting. Have the house fan open and the downstairs window open and I'm airing out the house after six months of being essentially sealed up. It's right refreshing and comforting in a way. Thinking of watching an episode of BSG, since I have, heretically, seen almost no episodes of it. For now, just resting and hoping this weather doesn't go away right away. Pax
