Remember When "Computer" Was A Job Title?

caraigWell, finally fixed the PC by way of doing a reinstall. Such a mess. Well, I need it to finish up this project for the HL mod. I've not done nearly as much on it as I should lately.
About to head off to Electron Hut or BB to pick up some RCA cables. I'm severely doubting they'll have what I need (single-plug RCA mono audio to paired RCA stereo audio) so I'll have to make do. Oh, yeah, this is for my latest project: Getting some old VHS tapes into the computer for eventual dump to DVD. I have the original Sol Bianca here that I desperately want to get into a watchable format before the tapes, I don't know, disintegrate, self-destruct, something like that. (The original Sol Bianca was a masterpiece, and much much better than the "new" one. Seems like they want to bury the originals, though. You can't find them anywhere. ... Hmm... ABANDONWARE! Woo!)
Also going to be grocery shopping this week. Hmm, lets see... finances are almost all cleared up, too. Getting paid Friday, as well, which helps with the holiday rush.... Have an idea for something related to Kalends with a similar level of weirdness ("Oh dear God don't let it be so....") but a bit less metaphysical ("That's a relief....") Anyway, we'll see when I get home!
Did I mention how utterly insane Black Friday was? I would swear that people become completely different animals then! Most were all right, but some had this weird... I don't know, this weird collapse of anything remotely resembling human common sense.
