Financial Hijinks with HSBC
Oct. 29th, 2005 01:06 pmSo as you may know I've had some rather bad experiences with finances this past month. I was overdrawn quite a bit and admittedly I can see where the bank insists on penalty fees, since it's time being taken away from their data entry people to correct my mistake when they could be doing... whatever else they're doing. They paid off the check, just held a balance against me. And that balance has been paid off. However... apparently someone's finger slipped in the correcting of that check, and the bank now thinks that it was for one thousand dollars more than it should be. Holy shamolie! Anyway, sometime next week this should be resolved, and I will be paying MUCH closer attention to my bank statement from here on out. And so should you.
Ah, la. Where would we be without major transnational financial institutions?
In other news, apparently the lead singer for Journey was in $STORE the other day. Wow. Pity I didn't see him.
That's all for now. There'll be more Monday night, I'm certain. But, for now, Pax!
