V for Vendetta
Aug. 15th, 2005 08:02 pmI picked up the graphic novel of V for Vendetta today and I have to wonder about something. It's a great story, fascinating and some very good things to chew on mentally. But something I have to wonder how, "in this day and age" -- newspeak for "with continual worry about terrorists, as well as movement against anti-nationalist and anarchist speech" -- the producers of the movie have any hope in portraying the movie in any way similar to how the graphic novel is.
Blah. Hollywood is going to butcher it six ways to Sunday and most people will be none the wiser. Which is a crying shame. That's how it's going to be shown.
