...as in, getting down to.
This weekend, I HAVE to finish binding the character, so that next week I can properly do the animation and begin rendering next week. I should be able to do it, I hope, it's just not going to be really all that easy with the time given. I'm hopeful, though.
A bunch of us went to see X-Men 2 yesterday. I tell you, the teachers were right; going to this school more or less ruins your ability to watch movies! Afterwards, after we talked about how cool the movie was, we went on to talk about the visual effects, the compositing and editing of it, and where the VE crews didn't do that great a job (probably because they were rushed for time.) However, it was a good film, though if you don't know ANYTHING about the X-Men story arcs, then it's going to be somewhat confusing. Still good, though! Plus, there were some previews for a few movies to look forward to; Matrix Reloaded, of course, looks like it will be a visual effects feast, a fine repast of eye candy. No, I'm not expecting it to be anything like a 'Dark Ciity Revisited,' or such. I expect a story-light action flick with lots of wire work, but you know, that's all right. Keanu Reeves just has to be the surfer dude who can do great wuxia wire work, Carrie-Ann Moss is very easy on the eyes, and Lawrence Fishbourne adds a nice touch of mystery and ominousness combined with great projection of character. Plus, of course, the visual effects.
I've given considerable thought lately to such things as regret, chivalry, lonliness what it means to live, the relative worth of the world, and I think I've found 'acceptable solutions' rather than the existential nihilism I've been slipping more and more into over the past few weeks. But more on that later, for the time being I need to run off to school. I dodged a bullet; instead of class Monday through Friday from 5AM to 9AM, I'll be taking it from 9AM to 1PM, definitely a plus and much easier to deal with. However, that does not change the all-day time in lab tomorrow, or the four hours I'm about to charge into today!
