I wish I could tell you how much I was terrified that this would not happen. I wish I could... but I won't, because that's in the past.

But I did learn one thing. I get fracking nervous and worried and terrified all too easily. Now that this is done with... I need to work on that next. I will work on it next.

I want to thank folks for being patient with me these past... hell, since I left New York and the job with Apple. Seemed like every other post was me complaining. That's why I more or less stopped posting. But that's going to change, too.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to collapse in relief and weep for joy.

I have been a contract employee at Stanford for the past six months, and have finally been taken on full time permanently by them. ^_^

Aha! Mazel-tov! YAY! You know, I completely spaced you were out that way (likely because I have no contact info for you.. hinthint). I was just out there last week for a week. Would have loved to have seen you. I'll be out that way periodically in the future.

Actually it means I'm working there permanently now. I've been on contract there for the past six months, and was just told that I've been hired permanent now. ^_^

That;'ws good news, they pay well. too ba you are about a Decade past the old Gaming group though. Parents got their graduate degrees there, and I was born at that hospital, a beta tester for Incubators. I was also Security there in themid to late 80's. I went to the Highschool across El Camino Real from the University. Good time, good times.

Close enough to visit Bob & Collie though.

Good Eats: Village Cheese Shop at the "Town 7 Country center across El Camino. Huge cheese sandwqiches, and deli food.

Oh, excellent, thanks! I've been looking for a good deli for ages, since leaving New York in fact!

I actually live in San Jose, so I'm already pretty close to Collie and Bob and Lou. =)
