Just to throw out something amusing for you all: The TV Tropes Wiki has pretty much ever trope, meme, theme, and cliche you could ever imagine. Though heavily influenced by anime, it has enough Western tropes to make it approaching reasonably complete. For example, the Really Dead Montage is pretty much as it says: those of you who remember the three-episode-long dying scenes from Fushigii Yuugi know well of what they speak....
