Spring Break Blues

caraigYou know, I don't think I've ever had a Spring break proper. 'Spring break' in college was the two weeks in between final exams and the departure of the training ship on a two-month voyage... which was of course filled with a lot of work, loading stores on the ship and preparing the ship for departure. And mother's day landed right in there. (Hey... that's coming up soon! Aiiiee, almost forgot!) Which made going there and coming back to the ship on time a *real* challenge. The last cruise I stayed on board.... but that's a story for another time.
So here I am during spring break, trying to be more productive than I am, which actually means I'm being pretty productive. It's not easy staring at the same thing hour after hour, so I'm getting somewhat distracted, but not so much that I feel I'm getting far behind. I'll have to retexture the model, and the Library of Dat (opposite of Library of Dis... get it?) needs some work. Hopefully I'll have all the modelling and texturing done soon. It'll take me about a week to properly animate this-all, and then... a while to render. That shoudn't be too bad. I hope. 900 frames or so. Even with two minutes a frame, that's... let's see... thirty hours. That gives me a decent margin in case parts render longer, for final compositing, etc. No problem! I hope! =)
So, not much else to say. i'm resting and working, and next Tuesday I'll be back at the grindstone. Until then, just keeping on trucking and all that stuff. =)
