Brief Update
Just felt I should put in an update here. I don't want to get anyone worried.
About a week ago, mom -- alert, aware, and significantly less confused than before -- came home. We have a live-in nurse who helps Mom out though Mom is increasingly stronger and does not need nearly as much help. Her condition has much improved from when she was in the hospital. She is still terminal, however, though the "when" is significantly further in the future than we thought three or four weeks ago. In fact right now we don't even have an estimate of 'when.' Be too fekking depressing to have that hanging over us anyway. So we're coping, all in all, and trudging along.
And in the 'Absurdity In Adversity" department, the associate of Mom's doctor through this, who popped in to see Mom once or twice, was Dr. Theodore Strange. I like that name.
Anyway, not much else. I've caught up on some game rentals so in the next day or so I'll be putting up some reviews -- some laudatory, some cautionary.
In vaguely related news, a CBS anchor denigrated bloggers as a source of news, saying that they're unreliable and biased. Which I suppose makes Fox a bastion of objective journalism. In other news, journalistic integrity surrendered and nobody noticed, film at 11... 10 years ago.
