Down Again
Oct. 1st, 2006 02:15 pmPhone went out again last night before I got home. Not DSL, the actual landline. Got hold of the telco on my cell phone -- barely -- last night and put in a trouble ticket. Called today, they said that it should be fixed by Wednesday.
Wednesday.
They said to call tomorrow and see if there's an update, but that's not going to resolve anything. This has really started to interfere with doing graphics work, paying bills, and job hunting, not to mention my recreation and just keeping in touch with people. It looks like I'll be missing the Whole of the Law and Hunter games again, dammit. (And the last skill I'd been training in EVE completed about a week ago, too, natch.)
I seriously need some options here. TimeWarner/digital phone service is out, TW has admitted to some customers that they are offering more service than they have bandwidth (which is why my service kept conking out at night.) I am in a lousy cellular area for ALL the major carriers. What are my options? Do I even HAVE any options?
