Back Again!

A lot's happened in the past four months, but a lot of it I don't feel up to talking about here in the journal. Maybe later in this week I'll talk more about it, because some of it is kind of weighing on me right now.
In general, though, you can rest assured that I am alive and well and existing.
One thing that I should clarify. Some time ago I posted a journal entry that was a rant, back in December. In general, thank you very much for your replies. However, someone posted a comment that had absolutely nothing to do with the post. Normally I'm cool with this, but this was posted by a bot, it was painfully obvious it was a bot; and it was a blatant attempt to hijack my LJ. I'm not sure why they did it -- it was a promotion for a certain recent M. Gibson film that's starting to cause a bit of a ruckus -- but I can only think it was:
Mind you, I've nothing against the film. Haven't seen it. Not going to see it. Not interested in seeing it. Have no opinion about it, and until I am somehow coerced, forced, or induced to see it, won't have an opinion about it. It's more that someone used a BOT, an automated spamming program, and tried to.. I don't know... blogjack me. If someone had blogbombed me about The Joys of Satanism, a Sundance award winning Movie That You Must See For It WilL Save The World, or even frickin' Bambi III, I would have axed that post.
So if that phantom blogbomber is reading, and to others out there: I may be borrowing this blogspace from LiveJournal, but unless or until I mess up and violate the AUP -- which you did/do/will do/are doing -- do NOT blogjack my medium for your message especially if you're going to do it with some automated program, ya lazy bum. My medium, my message. Trespassers will be deleted. Survivors shall be consigned to /dev/null or ~/.Trash, whichever is more personally satisfying to me. ^.^
There. I needed to impose some humor on you. ^.^ I feel better. And thus begins a new cycle of LJ entries! Let the blogging commence.
For now, I'm going to make a goal of joining the 500 Words A Day challenge: just write some short fiction, a little snippet or morsel, each day. I used to write a lot. maybe this will help. Hey, if something good comes out of it, I can always get an account at DeviantArt! =) Feel free to comment, and be honest: what worked, what didn't, what did you like, what did you hate. Mind you, I tend to write science fiction, but I'll try to delve into other fields.

- some well-meaning dunderhead trying to Get The Word Out about his New Favorite Movie;
- a marketing firm trying to blogbomb as many LJs as they could so a search for any number of topics would turn up a reference to that movie; or
- ... you know, I'm not sure who else could have thought of doing something like this.
