So! Lots has happened since my last entry.

For starters, I have graduated! My demo reel is rather nice if I do say so myself, and I do. For the next few days I get to pack up everything, get a trailer, then hit the road for a hopefully quick, somewhat boring trip. One can at least hope for such.

As I said, the demo reel came out splendidly, and while it isn't the best thing in the world, I'm very happy with it, and it's definitely a good seed to start work on the next demo reel.

The ants have returned, this time in the watercloset, and I am again waging modestly restricted chemical warfare against them. The damn things are hard to get rid of. I think they could give cockroaches a run for their money. I had a couple of spiders in there and they feasted well, but one disappeared (I believe he was set upon by a pack of hit-ants and expired in some back alleyway) and the other ran for its life at one point... right into the line of fire of the plant-oil insecticide I was using. >.< And by the way.. the spiders were itsy-bitsy, they weren't some freakin' huge monster huntsman spiders. Seriously, any continent where those things thrive in makes me wonder what kind of bugs are there that need spiders that big to control them! Fortunately, the movie Eight-Legged Freaks did much to relieve me of my fear of spiders.

I had another oddball dream last night. Once again, I was in Coast Guard uniform, at some ship safety research center. They had a lot of computers doing design and simulation work there. Pity I wasn't involved with any of them. I was the Coastie with long hair and no tie. Weirdly, nobody said anything about it, even the Rear Admiral who was there. I guess being out of uniform is my equivalent to the 'naked in public' dream, except I haven't been In uniform in ages!

Not much more for now. I'll try to get one more entry in before I depart for New York. I can't say I'm hugely sorry to be leaving Florida. It's very very hot down here at times but lately it's been raining a great deal. Still, I do prefer the weather of the Northeast.
